SANA'A- Al-Nida Weekly mentioned last Wednesday that quarrels and conflicts took place inside the political security detention centre when prisoners attempted to break doors and windows of the building. According the newspaper, four guards were injured in the incident.

Sources stated that it is mere folly for prisoners to escape from the prison which is constructed according to modern standards and consists of underground cells surrounded by rigid iron doors.

The newspaper did not give a mention of the penal procedures taken against prisoners, however, other reliable sources said prisoners were not allowed to meet visitors last Wednesday and Thursday.

Hundreds of people are detained at the political security organization, 800 of whom over Sa'ad events and tens are jailed for their alleged links to al-Qaida Network.
