Population Studies Seminar in Sanaa [Archives:1997/48/Local News]

The Central Statistical Organization is organizing a two-day seminar on “Population Studies” on 2-3/12/1997. Specialists from the government, universities, the private sector, and international organizations are participating. Important issues discussed are internal (rural-to-urban) migration, marginal population groups, the population pyramid, fertility and women, etc. The studies presented are expected to help enhance the ability of policy/decision making in the country.
