Sources close to the Yemeni presidency said that President Ali Abdullah Saleh will be visiting the Netherlands by the end of this month.
The sources added that the President will discuss with the Dutch Prime Minister bilateral relations, as well as the ongoing events relating to the Palestinian cause and Afghanistan, in addition to the efforts to fight terrorism on a worldwide scale.
The government of the Netherlands is one of the most important donors to Yemen. It annually offers generous support for different aspects of development in the country.
The President’s visit will also cover the USA and some European countries. Saleh is expected to meet the US president George W. Bush at the White House on November 27. He is also expected to meet other high-ranking US officials.
The US Ambassador to Sana’a, Edmund Hull, had earlier left Yemen for the US to prepare for Saleh’s visit.
