President Saleh Visits Germany [Archives:2000/23/Front Page]

President Ali Abdullah Saleh left for Germany yesterday. During his visit, the president will be holding discussions with German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder on political and economic issues regarding the relationship of the two countries and the Middle East in General.
The discussions with Senior German governmet and parliamentery officials will concentrte on strengthening the bilateral ties. The President is also expected to meet Berlin Mayor.
The president is expected to attend the inauguration of the the Yemeni section of the Expo 2000 exhibition, which will include various activities showing the rich heritage and culture of Yemen, and which will be visited by a good number of visitors exceeding 5 million.
The President is also going thorugh some medical check-ups. During his stay in Gernmany, the President is expected to meet Prince Sultan bin Adulaziz, the second vice premier and Minister of Defence of Saudi Arabia, and discuss the everlasting border issue, and then will fly to Saudi Arabia for the same purpose.
