Private societies law discussed in a workshop [Archives:2004/768/Local News]
A workshop on promoting an awareness program about the laws and regulations of private societies was organized from August 18th-19th, by the Social Cooperation and Care Association at Al-Saeed Hall in Taiz.
Hadi Saeed Abdu, executive director of the association, said the workshop reviewed a number of themes important for the recently enacted law on private societies.
The workshop aimed at raising the level of awareness of directors and secretary generals of 72 private societies participating in the workshop.
The 216 participants have been distributed over 6 sub-workshops to be held over 18 days.
The workshop is organized under the auspices of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Abdul-Karim Al-Asbahi.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mohammed Al-Haiajem, the Secretary of Taiz Governorate, Abdu Mohammed Al-Hakimi, Director of Taiz Social Affairs and Labor Office, Shawqi Al-Qadhi, member of Parliament, and several other interested people.
The workshop came out with recommendations which serve the work of societies and private establishments.
