Public institutions survey started [Archives:2002/32/Local News]
The field survey for public institutions for the year 2002 started last Monday with a campaign to count and inspect governmental buildings and structures all over the country. This is part of the labor market information program activities in cooperation with the Social Fund, Central Statistical Authority and UNDP. The survey is being carried out with the participation of 106 researchers and chief of specialists of the Central Statistical Authority and the Ministry of Social Affairs. The survey aims at providing a complete database on all governmental institutions to improve labor offices services and to calculate small, middle and large public institutions in main cities and rural areas. The survey includes the inspection of more than 600 establishments in main cities and more than 453 in rural areas.
It is worth mentioning that the financial budget allocated for the current survey will be about YR. 13,448,400 for the first stage of the survey, while the budget for the second stage will only be certain upon evaluation of the first stages implementation.
The source of financing for the survey will be as follows: the UNDP will be providing $124,000 (around YR 21,452,400), of which YR 13,448,400 of it will be allocated for financing the initial installations survey stage and YR. 8,004,000 of the UNDPs provided amount will be allocated for the survey implementation stage, documents preparation and training. Similarly, the Social Fund for Development contributed an amount of at most $126,000 to finance the field implementation survey of the 2nd stage, office and mechanical equipments, and for printing the final results of the survey.
