Sana’a & Aden University Students Won [Archives:1999/37/Local News]

The Presidency of both Sana’a and Aden University, was compelled last Saturday to stop abiding by the Cabinet’s decision , regarding the increasing of university tuition fees. They also announced that the registration will continue with last year tuition fees. This was declared after a big university student strike, in front of the Administration of the Students’ Affairs. in the university, protesting against this unlawful decision. On another level, two university students filed a case last Saturday against the Cabinet and Sana’a University, in regards to this issue. Mohammed Nagee Alaw, the lawyer, said that this decision is against many articles in the constitution, including articles no. 109 clause c, no. 37 and no. 8.
