Candle Sales have increased as electricity outage resumed after a long period of stable and good electricity service.
Electricity outage has become part of life in Sana’a over the years. Electricity failures face citizens in Hadda area every night, sometimes for 1 to 2 hours daily.
It is worth mentioning that Aden is also suffering from the blackouts, which would result in the halting of all duties during the day as working without electricity to run A/C conditioners is virtually impossible, and in some cases may result in death.
Citizens claim that if the authorities are serious about this issue, they should put an end to this routine, and let people go back to work without worrying about not having enough candles, or having to leave work.
