Sharon returns to his dark past [Archives:2002/17/Focus]
SAADI SALAMA
PALESTINIAN DIPLOMAT IN SANA’A
Within a very short time the world will discover all the massacres and atrocities of the Israelis barbaric terrorist campaign, one in which its military has invested all of its experience and expertise from its bloody and criminal past.
Jenin Refugee Camp is not Sabra and Shatila, where Sharon created the famous massacres 1982 for which he is hunted with a lawsuit, and Nablus is not Deir Yaseen of the older famous massacre against the Palestinian civilians.
But Jenin Refugee Camp has embarrassed the Israeli military machine internationally, and that has surprised the Israeli military and political systems. The camp confronted and paralyzed the huge Israeli force for nine days during which time the Israeli forces replaced its assault commander by a chief of staff, and when General Mofaz took command.
When he ordered to close the area for the press, it was clear to all that massacres were about to be committed. Killing and massacres seem to be legitimate according to Jewish religious belief that grows daily from wild to wilder. The Palestinians are Gentiles should be killed; if you see them thirsty do not offer them water; and if you see them bleeding let them die by preventing any one from aiding them. This what Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his chief of staff Mofaz have done. So has Defense Minister Bin Eliezer, and so has the winner of the Nobel Prize Shemon Peres.
The Arab, Western, and rest of the foreign press were banned from entering Jenin Refugee Camp and Nablus. And so was the Hebrew press, because some of it was flowing against the tide of Jewish national consensus and started exposing some of Israeli crimes according to Israeli democracy protected by the Western world.
The steadfastness of the Palestinians in Jenin Refuge Camp was not considered in the Israeli and American expectations. Taking in considerations that the USA administration seemed to first give Israel a green light to demolish what they call Palestinian terror and its infrastructure, they imposed a total closure and blackout on the Camp and on Nablus. Then they commenced an ugly criminal killing campaign, in which all the Israeli armed forces except for the Navy, participated.
After counting the casualties and surveying the damages, we and the rest of the world shall know what has happened. Even in Bier Zeit, Hebron, Bethlehem and the rest of the occupied Palestinian places, atrocities under the cover of the USA, have happened. Thus the Palestinian testimonies shall be exposed to the world, and those who helped establish the Jewish State shall realize that they have planted a monster state of racism and hatred, terror: a dangerous war machine that disturbs the stability of the region and the rest of the world, and a center of explosion.
It is old advice given to late prime minister of Israel Itzak Rabin, by the USA former secretary of state Henry Kessinger, who said: Close the area and harvest the Intifada away from the eyes of the curious press, and do it without mercy.
Sharon is now calling back history by committing what Rabin did not do. But he is a little late, due to modern facilities of transferring information. No one can black out everything, even while they may try to prevent the Red Crescent and the Red Cross from entering the area, just like the press.
Its not only the information that counts. Its also other heroes that made this legend: those who fought, struggled, got wounded or were arrested will also become the witnesses of the Israeli massacres and terror. The USA has declared war on terror, but its double standards will be exposed. It seems they are waging a war of hatred against the Arabs simply for being Arabs.
They will be witnesses not only against those who committed the crimes, but also against Arab leaders who will one day join their nations reflecting their wishes, instead of opposing them according to USA pressures. Their strength as leaders will be given from their nations if they support them, and it is foolish to think that only the USA has aces.
