Sheikh Killed in Hajja [Archives:2001/36/Local News]

Sheihk Hassan Hamoud Haibaj, son of a sheikh of al-Qafalyah in the Governorate of Hajja, was shot down during armed clashes between military men commanded by the deputy-director of Qafal Ashmar security department and some inhabitants of the district.
The clashes erupted after the deputy-director of security department in the area carried out a campaign to stop cars without plates in the district. Following the incident a committee was formed for investigating the incident.
