‘Somme’ Arrives [Archives:1998/28/Local News]

The French battleship Somme arrived at the Port of Hodeida on Saturday, July 11th, on a 5-day friendly visit to Yemen. On board is the naval brigadier Jean Louis Bat, the commander of French naval forces in the Pacific region. Somme’s first visit to Yemen was in June of last year.
The commander and his senior officers met with Yemeni military and civil officials and discussed strengthening bilateral military cooperation.
