Spacetele Yemen, one of the country's GSM-service providers recently signed a contract worth $20 million with the French Alcatel Mobil Company in order to expand and update its network.
The French company will begin updating Spacetel's stations and increasing the number of devices to suffice to serve over one million customers. The upgrade will enable customers profit from the new services such as MMS and GPRS.
