Yemen Society for Consumers' Protection confirmed, in a letter addressed to Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, the presence of large quantities of spoiled eggs in the market, produced by Marib Poultry Company. The letter points out that the spoiled eggs are the consequence of the producers are not abiding by specifications and quality standards during processing.
The statement called for the immediate withdrawal of the spoiled eggs from the market.
The company, on its part, confirmed that it abides by strict quality conditions and denies having any spoiled eggs in the market.
