EMAD AL-SAQQAF
YEMEN TIMES STAFF-TAIZ
A wound is still bleeding! We wonder, is Dr. Abdulaziz al-Saqqaf still alive. Three years have gone by and you are still in our memory.
This great man made every effort to achieve something new. His great achievements are a clear testimony to his shrewdness, sagacity and strong personality.
You are a good example of a brave man. You were the supporter of the poor and the oppressed. We miss you, terribly. We are in need of a person like you today. We wish that you were here to see with your own eyes the deterioration that is taking place in our country.
On the third memorial of Dr. Abdulaziz al-Saqqaf, we are filled with a warm remembrance of your friendly, decent and affectionate temperament.
You were always proud of your country. We are in dire need of such people to help change the negative conditions that exist in Yemen.
Several changes and challenges have occurred and we wish you were present to see what is going on. We have the September 11th incident, the political reality in Yemen and Yemens access to the GCC.
Your works, columns and articles tackled issues from national and humanitarian perspectives. The establishment of Yemen Times is a successful outcome of your hard work towards an independent media.
All your work was a remarkable jump into modernity for Yemen full of innovations and solutions . With much respect, I have written these words on your memorial. I promise to pursue your ideals and march on however thorny the path might be. Peace be on your soul in paradise with all those martyrs and prophets.
