Students learn the Yemen Times ways [Archives:2006/1006/Local News]

SANA'A, Dec. 9 ) Thirty students from Sana'a International School took a field trip to the Yemen Times on Saturday to learn about the inner workings of the newspaper.

The students, from grade nine to 12, were joined by their teachers Alan George and Hamish Erskine.

In the newsroom, the students participated in a question and answer session with Yemen Times reporter Mohammed Al-Jabri. He also spoke about the need for democracy in order for a country to have fully-functioning media. The students listened intently as Al-Jabri explained the newsgathering, reporting and design process.

Later, the students toured the building, including the area where the papers are printed.
