Symposium on micro-enterprises wraps up [Archives:2003/659/Local News]

ADEN_ Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aden Branch and Commerce and Industry Office, a symposium on small enterprises was concluded in Aden on August 11 at the Aden Hotel titled the Reality & Ambition.
The symposium was attended by Trade and industry minister, Dr. Khaled Rajeh Shiekh and Mr. Ahmed al-Dhola'ee, the Deputy Assistant of the Aden Governorate and a host of others.
The symposium came up with the following recommendations:
– Preparing a given strategy to promote the small enterprises and studies should be conducted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
– The private sector also should be included in this regard in order to promote such industries.
– Mapping out loan policies concerning the establishment of small enterprises installations and giving permissions and repayment as well as approving simple interests in accordance with its possibilities.
– Completing the establishment the bank of hope for the benefit of the poor.
During the closing symposium, the trade and Industry Minister spoke highly of the efforts exerted to make a success of the symposium.
