Taiz Summer Festival and Exhibition [Archives:2004/745/Local News]

Tuesday, 1 June 2004- Taiz International Festival and Exhibition 2004 was officially inaugurated today by the Mayor of Taiz, Judge Ahmed Abdullah Al-Hajry. The opening ceremony of the festival was also attended by Mr. Shawgy Hayel, Chairman of Planning and Development Committee at the Local Council, Director of Taiz Security, Dr. Ahmed Al-Olefi and a number of the general directors of government offices and representatives of companies participating in the exhibition.
The exhibition, which will continue until 14th June, consists of products of several local, Arab and international companies. A special wing was also established for the products of charitable associations and social care organizations.
The exhibition contains also wings for Syrian, Egyptian, Chinese, Pakistani and Turkish products. The exhibition has witnessed a heavy turnout of spectators and buyers.
