Technical & Financial Assistance Presented by Holland [Archives:2000/21/Local News]

The government of Holland is offering a substantial extra contribution to the cultural heritage of Yemen. It is willing to provide financial as well as technical support to the excavation of Mahram Belqis, the legendary home of the queen of Sheba, that are currently conducted by the American Foundation for the Study of Man and the Yemeni government. The Ambassador of Holland is planning to offer this aid to President Ali Abdullah Saleh on 22 May.
It is worth noting that the government of Holland had at earlier times offered other substantial cultural assistance to Yemen.
