Tennis Championship to open next week [Archives:2004/735/Local News]

On the playfields of Police Officers Club, a tennis championship is scheduled to open next week. Sponsored by Arab Bank, the championship is considered to be the most important even in the Yemeni tennis sport.
Some of the best classified tennis players in the republic will participate in this championship. Aiming mainly at improving the game and players' skills, organizers didn't base the championship on “the looser leave” rule and, therefore, players will have to meet each others eventually.
Organizing such championship was the idea of Coach Nabeel Frood, who has also organized and coordinated many championships in the country.
