The 15th University Student’s Week at Aden University [Archives:2004/732/Local News]

Saturday, 24 April 2004- Activities of 15th University Student's Week began at the Faculty of Education in Aden. Dr. Yahya Rassa, President of the University, said that the week would be held under the slogan, “Sana'a, the Arab Cultural Capital 2004”, as a continuation of previous participation of the university within the framework of the celebration on the occasion of Sana'a, the Arab Cultural Capital 2004.
The President explained that the activities would continue until 30 April in a variety of cultural, scientific, sports and artistic activities, which would reflect the creativity of the university students. The President expressed his hope that the related authorities, inside and outside the university, would cooperate towards the success of the week's activities. He also expressed his thanks to Students Affairs Union, the deans of the faculties of the university and all students for their exerted efforts.
It is worth mentioning that the first activity of the week will coincide with the opening of the book exhibition, followed by a “Solidarity with the Palestinian People” carnival and at 4:00Pm the Faculty of Medicine will hold a basketball match. In addition, more cultural, artistic and scientific activities will be carried out by the other faculties during the rest of the week.
