The blind plead for more attention [Archives:2004/735/Local News]

Under auspices of Mr. Abdualrabo Mansour, the vice president, Yemeni Society for Care & Qualifying Blinds (YSCQB) organized the 12th blind week that started on Wednesday 28 April and took place in the Researches and Studies Center.
The vice president said that instructions were given to the ministry of social affairs and the ministry of education to provide curriculum for handicapped and to pay more attention and take care of their societies.
He also praised YSCQB for its efforts in serving and rehabilitating the blind. Mr. Abduallah Ahmed Bobian, the head YSCQB, delivered a speech in which he pointed to the attention the president renders to all the blind all over Yemen.
He also displayed the obstacles and impediments that hinder the YSCQB activities Various artistic sketches for talented blinds permeated the week.
The vice president honored the sponsors and distinguished people who helped to make the 12th blind week successful.
Mr. Abdualkareem Al-Arhabi, the minister of social affairs, along with a host of people attended the ceremony.
