Tihama and Fujitsu Siemens Start a Milestone Training Course in Sanaa This Week [Archives:2000/33/Last Page]

The Tihama Tractors and Engineering Company Ltd’s Computer and Peripherals Division is currently involved in the preparations of a training course that would last for 7 days in Sanaa starting from the 19th of August. The course, which is sponsored by Yemen Times and organized with the supervision of Fujitsu Siemens will focus on the Information Technology (IT) and computers.
“This workshop is the first of its kind in Yemen. No other company had ever invited so many participants to participate in such a course. I can proudly tell you ” said Wadea A. Al-Medwahi, the Marketing Manager of the Computer and Peripherals Division of the company.
About this training course’s objective, Mohammed Amin Dirhim, GM of the company clearly stated that it is aimed at bringing more awareness about the computer revolution taking place in the world, and helping normal individuals working in companies, etc. to benefit from this valuable course.”
According to the GM, the efforts exerted to make this event successful are tremendous. “We have been working on preparing for this course for more than a month, and we have been in continuos contact with Fujitsu Siemens throughout.”On another level, Mr. Wadea stressed on the importance of following up with classes, which will continue for 6 days in the morning hours. “It is essential to make use of the new ideas and experiences students would get from the course, as it is a chance that does not come easily.”The course will focus on computers in general, as hardware and maintenance, and software as well. However, the main point, which the company will concentrate on the IT sector and the Internet.
“We also would like to shed light on the exhibition which will start on the 19th of August at Shumailah Exhibition Center and Tihama company’s role in general, and the computer division of the computer in particular.” Said Mr. Mohammed.
On the other hand, the technical side of the course is explained more thoroughly by Wadea as he said that “several advanced multimedia tools will be used to explain to the students and participants key aspects of computer software, maintenance, networking, and most important of all, the Internet.”
