The number of the Omani exports to Yemen has increased from OMR 35 million in 1999 to OMR 58 million in 2000.
Yemen and Oman has agreed to discuss the trade and investment cooperation through establishing a free zone located along the borders of the two countries in al-Mazouna area.
Most of the al-Mazouna’s infrastructure has been fully supplied, which will in turn help to increase the exporting of products.
The Yemen-Oman trade and investment relations have increased quickly. This has been shown clearly in terms of the Omani exports to Yemeni markets. Exporting the Omani products to the Yemeni markets will help to promote the ratio of local and foreign investment.
Economical statistics indicate that the future of the Omani products in the Yemeni markets will also continue to be promising which constitutes a positive aspect for the Omani products to be propagated and prospered.
A marketing research has been conducted to find out the possibility to export the Omani products to the Yemeni markets.
The Deputy Commerce and Industry Omani Minister, Ali Masaood said that the marketing study has come at the right time and a certain kind of rapid increase of the Omani products in the Yemeni markets .
Oman is also regarded as an importing country of the Yemeni products such as, fruits, vegetables.
Yemen-Oman bilateral trade is an example of the good Arab relations.
The two countries are heading towards an economic integration for the better and generating new income resources and enhancing their one-oil products.
