Traditional Yemeni child games project [Archives:2003/654/Local News]

Sponsored by the Yemen Airways in cooperation with the American embassy and Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor organized a celebration to launch the fist phase of collection and documentation of traditional child games in Yemen.
The celebration took place in Kawkaban last Wednesday 16th July as one of the Sana'a Capital of Culture Program's activities. Representatives of Yemen Airways, HE Mr. Hull ambassador of the United States with his wife, representatives from Ministry of Culture, Social Affairs and Labor, High Council for Mother and Child, Ministry of Planning, UNESCO and Hadramout Cultural Bureau as well as a number of intellectuals and businessmen.
After welcoming and encouraging speeches delivered by a number of the attendees the celebration was concluded by joyful show of plays and songs performed by kids from the area along with Artist Abdulrahman al-Akhfash.
