Tulip students at Yemen Times [Archives:2002/34/Local News]

Tulip School students, in one of its summer activities, paid a visit to Yemen Times last week. The students toured the papers different sections during which they got a general idea about the process of the work starting from getting news reports until the final stage of printing.
The students visited the editorial, translation, advertising, layout, and printing departments, where they were welcomed by the managers of the different departments, who found delight in answered the questions and inquires of the students. The students seemed to be mostly interested in the procedures of issuing the paper and how advertisements are designed and published. The students were impressed by the computerized system used and by the efficiency and hard work of the staff that uses modern and sophisticated machines and equipment.
