The two students, identified by the newspaper as N. Assanabani and W. Sabra, were initially detained based on illegal immigration status, but according to SABA, “The case later turned into political charges of an unknown nature.” San Francisco judicial authorities told the students’ lawyers that the first hearing is to be held on Thursday and that the alleged accusations would be spoken of during the hearing.
