Ubadi wins a court ruling [Archives:2002/25/Local News]

Last week the West Sanaa Primary Court issued a verdict on the closure of the Ubadi Publishing & Printing Center. The publisher was shut down by the Ministry of Culture after publishing a controversial novel called Qawarib Jabaliya.
The verdict invalidated the decision made by the Ministry of Culture regarding the closure of the Ubadi Center. The court ordered the reopening of the Ubadi Center under its supervision.
The court added that the closure of the center by the Ministry of Culture is an interference and infringement of justice.
Defense lawyers and the Ubadi Center praised the court ruling saying that the courts ruling is a victory for the principles of justice.
