UNDP and Italy Extend Help to Socotra [Archives:1999/50/Local News]

The government of Italy and the United Nations development Program have signed an agreement in which the Italian government will contribute US $600,000 and the UNDP will provide US $350,433 to cover the environment, natural resources and health management in Socotra Island. This will be managed under the Regional Development Component of the Poverty Alleviation Program in collaboration with Environment Protection Council and Ministry of Public Health and is expected to start in January 2000.
