UNIDO Presents Country Support Strategy [Archives:1997/48/Front Page]

The Minister of Industry, Mr. Ahmed Soufan, flies out to Vienna, Austria, later this week to discuss the Country Support Strategy of the UNIDO, which covers the years 1998-2000. The strategy calls for capacity building for the formulation, monitoring, and updating of government industrial policy, industrial project preparation and feasibility studies, environm ent protection, privatization and post-privatization skills. Mr. Ziad Ifram, Head of the Yemen Desk (and other Gulf states), will meet the minister to discuss the strategy. “It is still a draft. We seek feed-back from Yemenis,” he said.
