Universities Tuition Fees Go Up [Archives:1999/31/Local News]

The students’ unions are telling students not to pay the increased tuition fees endorsed by the universities for the new year 1999/2000. This act is abusive and has to be rejected for it is against the constitution and increases the financial burden upon students, the students’ union’s declared. The fees of the Scientific collages have increased from YR 500 to 8,000 and from YR 200 to 6,500 in the Humanities Colleges. The tuition fees are expected to increase to YR 10,000 next year, reliable resources said.
