Upsurge of suicides in Taiz [Archives:2004/731/Local News]

An increase in the number of suicides committed, probably for different motives, has been recorded in Taiz. On Wednesday 14 April 2004, a student, aged 20, killed himself inside his house by hanging himself while still wearing his school uniform, for undetermined reasons.
Another young man, 24 years old, attempted suicide by swallowing a quantity of insecticide for unknown reasons.
The 32-year old, Saleh Ibrahim Saleh, accused of killing Abdullah Rajeh Saeed, killed himself by hanging himself using his own scarf.
