Vehicle custom dues are extended to April 30 [Archives:2004/735/Local News]

Chairman of Customs Authority, Ali Abdullah Al-Zabeidi, in a statement to the press, indicated that the generated revenues from the custom of 36,779 cars, throughout the Republic of Yemen, during the period March till 30 April 2004, are more than 12 billion YR.
The Customs Authority had announced a grace period of one month, from March 13 – April 13, to allow owners of cars illegally entered the country to pay their custom with a discount of up to 80% for old model of cars up to 1994, and 25% for models up to 2003 models, but due to the big number of cars to be processed, the period is now extended until the end of April.
