WB Delegation Visits Mukallah [Archives:1998/08/Local News]

A World Bank delegation headed by the Regional Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Jack Nicholas has visited the governorate of Hadhramaut on Thursday, February 19th. They were met by the Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. S. Al-Khawlani to discuss the progress of development in the governorate. Among the topics discussed were the Mukallah and Tareem water project and the second stage of the Wadi Hajar project, both are financed by the World Bank. Both sides expressed their optimism for the future of such projects and the need for more World Bank financial assistance to implement other necessary projects.
