Two people have recently stormed the office of the Women Forum for Research and Training, (WFRT ).
The two were caught and handed over to the Political Security Office and then subsequently released without interrogation.
In response, a number of employees at the civil society and human rights organizations strongly condemned the release of the two in question and demanded an immediate investigation.
In a statement to the Yemen Times, Suad al-Qadasi the manager of the WFRT said that she had received threats by telephone and experienced many break-ins at WFRT. Ive received threats by some people who belong to the Political Security Office, she said.
Suad added further that these threats were unacceptable, uncivilized behavior and that the WFRT was an authorized non-governmental organization.
It is worth-mentioning that Suad al-Qadasi is one of Yemens leading female activists in womans rights.
