Who is real proprietor of Syndicate Studies Institute? [Archives:2002/34/Front Page]
Aden, Saturday 17 Aug. (YT)The Executive Bureau of the Islah Party has accused security bodies of an illegal break-in of the Islahs neighborhood at al-Qalloaa, in Aden on August 16.
A number of prominent figures of the local council members at the Islah party were also incarcerated when they attempted to pacify the aggravated situation there.
In a statement issued by the Islah party had made clear that such illegal break-in had come after the Islah bloc refused to discuss the Aden-2003 budget.
Meanwhile, Othman Kako Naser, the Chairman of the Syndicates Union in Aden claimed that the Syndicates Union is the real proprietor of Syndicate Studies Institute and not the Islah. He added further that the union members were about to review testimonies and proofs of the their rights to possess the institute.
He added that the Islah party had seized the neighborhood of the institute in the aftermath of the 1994 civil war at al-Qalloaa area in Aden governorate.
He pointed out that the institute belonged to the Syndicates Union. He added that the institute was built in 1974 by the workers of the Aden port and was called at that time as the Martyr Taresh al-Gharbia to show solidarity with the Egyptian people. Then, it was used as a school for eradicating illiteracy for the workers there.
The leaders the Syndicates Union indicated that the institute will be transferred to a regional institute for rehabilitating and training the syndicate Arab members as it was decided before the Islahs seizure of the institute.
