Woman pioneers awarded in Aden [Archives:2005/827/Local News]

Under the auspices of Aden Governor Dr. Yahya al-Sha'ibi, a ceremony was organized by Sheraton Gold Moore, Aden, to award some 42 pioneering women in the province on the occasion of Mother Day.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Yahya al-Sha'ibi and Ahmed Sheikh, General Manager of al-Kathiri Group, Ayoub Abu Bakr, Manager of Social Affairs and Labor Office, Fatimah Muraisi, Chairwoman of Yemen Women Union, and other local personalities.

Adens Governor delivered a speech on the occasion welcoming the audience and confirmed that the celebration is not just a social one.

“It is also a celebration of a social integrated comprehensive establishment blemished with virtues and emanating educational influences over youngsters in different childhood stages.”

Dr. Asmahan and other awarded women expressed their extreme happiness at this gesture on the part of the Governor and Aden Gold Moore Hotel.

The governor also inaugurated the new hall of Gold Moore Aden at a cost of $3 million.

It is a multipurpose hall designed for conferences, weddings and theatrical shows.

It is equipped with audiovisual media.

At the conclusion of the celebration the Governor presented awards to the celebrated women.
