The most senior positions in the US Embassy in Sanaa are now occupied by women. There is the newly arrived ambassador, Ms. Barabara Bodeine. The Deputy Chief of Mission is Ms. Margaret Scobey. The Political Officer as well as the Economic Officer are both women. The Consul’s Deputy is a woman. Men at that embassy must feel a bit threatened. It is time they got a taste of what women have been enduring for so long.
