Workshop on coastal cities wraps up [Archives:2002/20/Local News]

A workshop on upgrading coastal cities was concluded last Tuesday. Working papers were presented during the workshop focused mainly on the coastal cities such as, al-Mokalla, Hodiedah and Aden Harbor. Around USD 89 million was allocated for upgrading the Aden city including Krater, al-Mansoura and Seera market financed by the World Bank.
The workshop was organized by the Planning Ministry Office, local councils and in collaboration with the World Bank.
Director generals of institutions, governmental organizations, Abulkareem Shaef, the Secretary General of the Local Council and representative form the Yeminvest and businessmen participated in the workshop.
