The Hodieda Office of General Health and Population concluded a workshop on Dec. 27 on the environmental effects of development projects in the province.

It was organized by the Ministry of Water and Environment in collaboration with the European Union on

Fifty-five participants, including the general managers of the official offices and members of the local council, took part in the workshop that lasted two days.

Dr. Al-Hassan Moh'd Taher, Deputy Governor of Hodeidah, reinforced the significance of taking care of environment and how necessary it is to raise awareness among people in this respect. He said that the province secretariat would go on supporting the activities that target the environment issues.

Mohammed Shamsan, workshop coordinator, noted the relationship between environment and the developmental projects.
