Workshop on eradicating malaria wraps up [Archives:2002/19/Local News]

Participants at the workshop held on April 25 2002, on Malaria stressed on the importance of preparing monitoring systems with a view of pursuing the effects of medicines and drugs on malaria.
The 5-day workshop focused on different countries of the world such as, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Djibouti, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen. The participants called on the private and public sectors to join hands to to fight Malaria.
In this respect, the Health Deputy Minister, Yahya Albabeli highly spoke of the WHOs efforts to eradicate malaria.
The General Manager of the National Program for Eradicating Malaria, Dr. Shawki al-Mawri placed great importance on the national plan to rid Yemen of malaria.
