Workshop on Protection  Against Ionized Radiation [Archives:2000/15/Local News]

A special workshop concerning the means of protection from the dangers of the ionized radiation used in medical analysis began in Sanaa on Saturday. 50 trainees from hospitals and medical centers all over the country participated in the workshop and were introduced to the scientific means and programs of protection against ionized radiation used in hospitals x-ray wings.
They would also be introduced to the ways of designing x-ray chambers according to healthy scientific procedures. At the opening of the workshop consultant of the presidential office for the scientific and technological affairs Dr. Mustafa Bahran delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness for the workshop inauguration which is considered the core center of the national committee of atoms energy activities in relevance with radiation security systems in collaboration with the International Agency for Atomic Energy.
