YCIC inaugurates production line No. 7 [Archives:2004/782/Local News]

Judge Ahmed Abdullah al-Hagri, Taiz governor, inaugurated production Line 7 of the expansion of the Biscuit factory belonging to Yemen Company for Industry and Commerce (YCIC), a member of Hayel Saeed Group, on Wednesday October 13th. The governor had a walk through the different departments of the factory and was briefed on the stages of production that distinguish the new production line.
Eng. Abdullah Abduljabbar Hayel, General Director of YCIC, explained the stages of developing the factory since 1971, pointing out that the new 84 meter long production line produces 41 tons daily. He denoted that the production line 7 is considered amongst the most developed biscuit factories in the world. The factory also creates new employment opportunities; its employees reach 2000.
The governor was accompanied by Ali Mohammed Saeed, Member of Al-Shura Council and Chairman of Hayel Group, Muneer Ahmed Hayel, Ammar al-Mu'alem, Zaid al- Nihari, Ammar al-Yadumi and a number of officials and pressmen.
It is worth mentioning that the company attained many international prizes such as, Arch of Europe for Quality and Technology, the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) level A, Certificate of Compliance ISO 9000, and the HACCP Certificate from SGS International.
