On this occasion, Mr. Amin Al-Haimi, Vice General Manager for Commercial Affairs of Yemenia expressed his delight to receive the aircraft, which he described as the safest, most technologically advanced, and most economical aircraft ever manufactured. This is the second plane of its kind to be received by Yemenia, which has been focusing on providing better quality service with greater flexibility to its customers.
This is a result of hard work and dedication of Yemenias Chairman and all who played a role in the success of this deal. We also thank H.E. President Saleh for his continuous support to Yemenia. Mr. Amin said.
This particular plane has 154 seats distributed on the first and economic classes and also has the most advanced entertainment and luxury facilities. Those new planes are supposed to replace the older ones which are taken out of service in a gradual manner.
The Yemenia administration said that there are plans to expand and increase the number of international and Middle Eastern destinations Yemenia will fly to. However, there are certain marketing and economic plans that need to be drafted before this awaited expansion.
Mr. Amin concluded by saying, We have short, middle, and long-term marketing plans that would promote Yemenia on an international level and would introduce new distribution and sales mechanisms including online ticketing in cooperation with other international airlines and companies. We have stroke deals with several local and international tourism agencies to promote Yemenia on all levels, and we are optimistic that we will see good results soon.
