Yemen and Iran solve bus problems [Archives:2005/826/Local News]

The Ministry of Transportation, represented by the General Land Transportation Corp., and the Iranian Industries Corp.

reached an agreement to resolve the problems resulting from the bus deal which Yemen bought in 2001.

The agreement which was signed by The Yemeni Minister of Transportation Omar al-Amoudi and the Iranian Ambassador, states that 20 buses are to be returned to the Iran withing the next three months and $319,000 is to be retrieved from the price of the returned buses and the rest is to be used to buy model-2000 buses.

The purchased Iranian buses were of a low quality and caused troubles.
