Yemen celebrates World Women’s Day [Archives:2004/719/Local News]

The Women's National Committee organized on March 9 a celebration on the occasion of World Women's Day under the slogan,” Towards better life for all members of society”.
The celebration, attended by several government officials and representatives of civil society and private and non-governmental organizations interested in human rights, focused on the position of Yemeni women in political life, and gains achieved in all levels, especially in decision making and in assisting men in change and effective development inside the country.
