Yemen female media forum concludes second session [Archives:2004/750/Local News]

The Yemeni Female Media Forum concluded on Wednesday June 23 its second training session on developing computer and internet skills for 30 females working at various media organizations. The session was held at Technology City, affiliated with the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology.
At the end of the session, an Electronic Network for Yemeni female journalists was formed, in cooperation with Roa, aiming at creating continuous contacts among female journalists on one hand, and with other female journalists in the Arab and Muslim countries on the other hand, in order to enable them to interact with each other, exchange of opinions and expertise, and to be updated on problems and obstacles facing them at their corporations so that they can react effectively toward resolving common issues.
In other dimensions too, the forum has signed an agreements with several local and international organizations working in Yemen to allow female journalists to use their computers and internet service free of charge including the United Nations Information Center, the Information Center of the Ministry of Information and the Information Institute for Training and Integration.
