The Yemen Red Crescent ambulance service swung into action on 20 July as protests against fuel-price rises in Sana'a and other cities turned into violent riots, reportedly leaving some 10 people dead. The protests

continued yesterday, resulting in further casualties. The ICRC delegationin Sana'a is providing medical equipment and logistical support for the Red Crescent, which has been taking the wounded to hospitals and giving firstaid on the spot.
