Yemen in Russia Chess Olympiad [Archives:1998/39/Sports]

The Yemeni national chess team has left for Russia to take part in the Third International Chess Olympiad (26 September – 13 October). Twenty-six countries are taking part in this world event.
Yemen’s team is headed by Abdulkarim Al-Odhri, President of the Yemeni General Chess Association, and includes the chess players Hameed Al-Qadhi, Khalid Al-Harazi, Yahya Saleh, Khalil Al-Asbahi, and Zindan Al-Zindani. This participation is funded by the Youth and Sports Fund.
