SANA'A, March 24 ) the Desert Locusts Control Centre (DLCC) announced on Wednesday the end of combating swarms of migratory locusts that descended upon 2,700 hectares of farmland over three weeks in the governorate of Al-Hodeidah, west Yemen.
General Director of the DLCC Abdu Farei' said five teams decontaminated swarms of locusts that spread over 2,700 hectares.
“The teams fumigated 4100 acres invaded by locusts that came from the Horn of Africa .Two kinds of pesticides provided by United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) were used in the operations
