The General Federation of Yemeni Workers Union (GFYWU) held in its headquarters a meeting to discuss the cooperation of Yemeni and Chinese workers unions.
Mr. Yahay Mohammed AL-Kohlani, the head of GFYWU, said in a statement to Yemen Times “The meeting has focused on many issues mainly discussing the channels of enhancing and supporting the bilateral relationship between the two unions. We also discussed about finding ways and mechanisms to develop the collaboration and coordination between the two unions represented in exchanging the experts and experiences in the fields of training and rehabilitation as well as technical support and the exchange of information and visits between the unions.
He further said “Moreover, we talked about many common and different issues that have been tackled in the international worker conferences and how to benefit from the Chinese experience in the union field”
Dong Li, member of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the ACFTU Auditing Committee, commented on the meeting “We have a chance to be closer and know two friendly countries experiences in the field of unions. We have displayed the union activities of each and their relationship with other unions and organizations as well as the services that the unions have been giving to workers in the two countries”
Members of the executive office of GFYWU and the consultant of the Chinese embassy attended the meeting.
